Identify the corner you would like to lay your edging around. Ideally, the 4ft steel edging is split by 2ft on each side of the corner.

Place the edging over the mark where you would like to bend the corner and place a mark on that location.

Scoring With Tools

Scoring steel edging to create a corner

Utilizing your angle grinder or hack saw, score the edging along the line that was just created. The score will create an indentation in the edging, allowing the bending corner to be sharp rather than round.

It is important during this step that the angle grinder or hack saw makes a deeper cut into our specialty roll top edge. A solid score on this step will ensure the corner will come out at a 90-degree angle and will physically be an easy bend.

Option 1: 90-Degree Corner - Bending the Corner with A Score and 2x4 Lumber

Keep your recently scored Coyote edging on the ground and lay your 2x4 lumber over the top. Stand over the edging while planted on the 2x4 lumber and raise the edging vertically towards your body. This will bend the steel edging at the score against the 2x4 lumber creating the perfect 90-degree angle

NOTE: Please bend at the knees

Notice the sharp edges this method creates. It will allow you to utilize more of your edging length and have clean corners.

Option 2: Rounded Corner - Bending the Corner with A 2x4 Lumber

If you prefer a rounded corner or not to score your edging, you can create a round corner via the bending method.

Stand over the edging while planted on the 2x4 lumber and raise the edging vertically towards your body. This will bend the steel edging at the score against the 2x4 lumber creating the rounded corner.

NOTE: Please bend at the knees
